Parents Group Calling For Immediate Release Of Fall Education Plan

A group of parents has sent an open letter to Premier Stephen McNeil, calling on his government to immediately provide a plan for education this fall.

Parents for a Pandemic Education Plan says the lack of a plan is causing serious anxiety and stress to families who are trying to make decisions about their jobs and potential childcare.

The province has announced it plans to release back-to-school details by the end of the month.

But a member of the group says that doesn’t offer parents enough time to plan.

She also says it doesn’t provide much time for public input and consultation.
