Howie Centre Man Charged After Fatal Accident

RCMP have released the name of the Cape Breton man charged after a fatal crash in the Halifax area community of Hubley yesterday.

28-year-old Corey Richard Patrick Blinkhorn from Howie Center is facing four counts of breaching court orders and single counts of Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

A 28 year-old man who’d been living in Halifax died in the crash yesterday morning and Blinkhorn was arrested near the scene.

Police said yesterday the man they arrested was being charged with impaired driving but they now say he’s not facing that charge.

This comes after police say witnesses came forward with new information last night.

Police are now trying to find out who was driving the vehicle.
