Man Arrested In Millville Thefts

A Sydney Mines man has been arrested after a series of break-ins and thefts in Millville.

RCMP say their Baddeck detachment got a call on Sunday about a man trying to steal a vehicle from a garage and they later learned some homes in the area, and in neighbouring parts of Cape Breton County, were broken into as well.

27 year-old Corey Patrick Blinkhorn is facing a host of charges, including Impaired Operation of a Vehicle, five counts of Break and Enter and three counts of Mischief, as well as four counts of Theft of a Motor Vehicle and five counts of Trespassing at Night.

Blinkhorn is now on remand and is due in court in Port Hawkesbury on January 8th.
