by A boil water order in Baddeck has been lifted.
The order was put in place as a precaution last week after a leak at the community’s water treatment plant.
The five-day-long order was lifted today with the approval of officials with the provincial Environment Department.
Baddeck’s Chief Administration Officer, Megan Cooper, says they’re investigating the cause of the leak and will take steps to try to prevent it from happening again.
