by Provincial Crown prosecutors in Cape Breton are on strike today.
They’re holding a protest outside the office of Sydney-Whitney Pier MLA Derek Mombourquette on Victoria Road.
They’re also planning a march down Charlotte Street in Sydney at noon.
The Crown attorney’s association says it’s done its best to cover serious and significant cases already before the courts, such as murders and sexual assaults.
But it also says there are hundreds of more files that likely will not be dealt with.
