It’s Federal Election Day

It’s federal Election Day.

The polls in Nova Scotia open at 8:30 this morning and close at 8:30, tonight.

There are seven candidates running in both Cape Breton ridings of Sydney-Victoria and Cape Breton-Canso.

Elections Canada says a record number of more than 135 thousand people cast ballots in advance polls in the province.

More than nine thousand people voted in advance polls in Cape Breton-Canso while about 86-hundred voted early in Sydney-Victoria.
