Fire Damages Boat at Dobson Yacht Club

Regional Police and the Fire Marshall are investigating what’s been deemed a suspicious fire after a boat burned at the Dobson Yacht Club in Westmount early this morning.

The lobster boat Membertou 2 belongs to Membertou First Nation.

Police say the boat was badly damaged in the blaze that happened at around 3 o’clock this morning.

No one was injured.

The Westmount and Sydney River Fire Departments were called in to fight the fire.
