Former Premier John Buchanan

Former Nova Scotia Premier John Buchanan has died at the age of 88.

The Sydney native served as s the 20th Premier of Nova Scotia from 1978 to 1990.

 He was a member of the Senate from 1990 to 2006.

All three party leaders remembered the former Progressive Conservative politician in the Legislature, this morning.

MLA’s also observed a moment of silence in Buchanan’s honour, this morning.
