Crime Down In Regional Municipality

Deputy Police Chief Robert Walsh says the reported crime rate in the Regional Municipality went down by 9 per cent last year.

Walsh made the remarks at this morning’s Board of Police Commissioners meeting.

The number comes from a summary of 2018 Crime Stats.

Walsh says the severity of crimes in the municipality went down by 16 percent last year.

There were also no murders in 2018.
