Four Forced From Their Home After Sydney Mines Fire

The Red Cross says a family of four has been forced from their Sydney Mines home after a fire yesterday, afternoon.

The organization says there were no injuries in the Crescent Street blaze that was reported at around 3:30.

However, the older, two-storey house was extensively damaged.

A woman and three children under the age of 11 lived in the home.

Red Cross volunteers have helped them with emergency lodging and meals along with buying clothes and other basics.

There’s no word on the cause of the fire.
