Construction Has Started On Glace Bay Dialysis Unit

The province says construction has started on a new six-station dialysis unit at the Glace Bay Hospital.

The new space will allow 24 patients from Glace Bay to use the new unit daily.

They now have to travel to the Regional Hospital in Sydney for dialysis.

1.9 million dollars from the estate of the late Thomas Peach from Glace Bay is helping to pay for the project.

Construction is expected to be completed within a year.
