New Waterford Man Arrested In Drug Raid

Regional Police say they seized thousands of dollars worth of prescription pills in a raid on a home in New Waterford last night.

66 year-old Daniel Anthony Burns is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Codeine and Oxycodone as well as Possession of Hydromorphone.

The raid took place at a home on 9th Street, where police say they seized a large amount of codeine, percocet and hydromorphone valued at over 7,000 dollars.

Burns appeared in court for arraignment today.

He’s now on remand ahead of a bail hearing tomorrow.
