Municipal Affairs Minister Chuck Porter will be in Cape Breton today to meet with Regional Council at City Hall in Sydney.
Council’s four-year 223 million dollar capital plan is expected to top the list of items up for discussion.
The plan depends on cost-sharing from both the province and Ottawa.
A viability study on the financial health of the municipality is also expected to be on the agenda along with equalization.
The proposed library for the Sydney waterfront is not on the list because Council wants to discuss that subject with the Premier.
The meeting with Porter is due to start at 3:30, this afternoon.
