by There’s going to be a rally in Sydney today to mark the National Day of Action on the Overdose Crisis.
The event is due to get underway at 12:30 at the Civic Centre on the Esplanade.
The Ally Centre of Cape Breton is organizing the demonstration under the theme “Support Overdose Prevention Sites in Nova Scotia.”
It says there have been 64 overdose deaths in the province since the beginning of last year.
People going to the event are being asked to wear black to mourn the people who’ve been lost.
