Police Say Man Arrested Over Threats At Local School

A 54-year-old New Waterford man was arrested today on a charge of Uttering Threats in a case Regional Police say involves an employee and a student at Oceanview Education Centre in Glace Bay. 

Police say they got a complaint on February 26th.

They say further work by the School Liaison Officer, in cooperation with the school’s administration, led to today’s arrest.

The man’s name hasn’t been released.

He’s been released on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Court on May 13th.
