Health Committee Meets Again, This Afternoon

The Legislature’s new standing committee on health meets for a third time, this afternoon.

The committee was formed after the government changed the rules of the public accounts committee so it would only hear subjects from reports by the auditor general.

The health committee has quickly become divided between Opposition and government members.

At the last meeting, both sides wrangled over what topics they’d deal with.

Members disagreed on how often the committee should meet at their first get-together.

Health Authority President and CEO Janet Knox is a witness at this afternoon’s meeting that gets underway at 1:00.
