Glace Bay man receives conditional sentence

A Glace Bay man has been given a six month conditional sentence in connection with a fight inside an apartment last year.
24-year-old Craig Michael Doyle was sentenced after pleading guilty to charges of forcible entry, mischief relating to property damage and breaching a court order.
Doyle was charged after confronting another man inside a Fletcher Street apartment with whom he argued online concerning a drug debt.
The victim was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Also charged in the incident was Doyle’s father, 49-year-old Craig Joel O’Neill.
O’Neill is facing multiple charges including two counts of breaching court orders, one count of forcible entry, and one count of assault with a weapon.
He is due in Supreme Court in February to receive a trial date.
