Electrical Repairs To Affect NW Hospital Service

The provincial Health Authority says services at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital will be affected by electrical repairs tomorrow and Saturday.

There will be no walk-in blood collection at the hospital tomorrow, and those needing the service are being told to go to the Regional or the Glace Bay Hospital.

Walk in X-ray service in New Waterford will be closed at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.

The ER will be open tomorrow but closed on Saturday.

Elevators will not be working during planned power shutdowns tomorrow between 7 and 7:30 in the morning and 3 and 3:30 in the afternoon.

There will also be planned power outages on Saturday between 8 and 8:30 in the morning, and 4 and 4:30 in the afternoon.

The health authority says regular inpatient services and visiting hours will continue on both days.
