Meanwhile, the Department of Transportation is describing most roads in Cape Breton as snow-covered and passable with caution, this morning.
Those conditions continue on to the mainland.
Schools are also closed today on the South Shore, the Annapolis Valley and in the Strait Regional Centre for Education.
The Centre has schools in Inverness and Richmond County in Cape Breton.
