Westmount Family Displaced By Fire

The Red Cross says a family has been forced from their Westmount home after a fire, yesterday evening.

The organization says the blaze at 19 Strathcona Street broke out shortly after 6:30 and caused extensive damage to the two-storey home.

The Red Cross is helping a couple and four children with emergency lodging, food and clothing.

The children are between 4 and 12 years old.

There were no injuries and there’s no word on the cause of the fire.
