Postal Workers on Strike in Cape Breton, Today

The rotating strikes by Canada Post workers have reached Cape Breton.

Members of the Breton local that covers the Regional Municipality and postal workers with the Port Hawkesbury local are off the job, today.

Postal workers are also off the job today on most of the mainland outside of Halifax from Antigonish to Yarmouth.

Rotating strikes are also taking place in parts of Quebec and Ontario.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers isn’t saying how long today’s rotating strikes will last.

However, most have gone on for 24 hours.
