Regional Police Officer Facing Domestic Assault Charges

Charges have been laid against a Regional Police officer after an investigation by the province’s police watchdog.

The Serious Incident Response Team says 34 year-old Kris Planetta is facing two domestic assault charges.

The charges involve a 33 year-old woman and date back to October 21st of this year and February 19th of last year.

The SIRT says Planetta was arrested after a preliminary investigation by Regional Police earlier this month, and has since been released.

He’s due in court on December 11th.
