Westmount Man Faces A Number Of Charges After Sydney Police Chase

Regional Police say a 32-year-old Westmount man faces a number of charges after police chased a car through Sydney last night.

Police say it all started when they got called about a car hitting other vehicles on Cornishtown Road.

Police say when officers spotted the car on St. Peter’s Road, the driver sped toward Ashby Road and then to George Street, going through a number of intersections.

Police say they found the car in a bush on a George Street sidewalk.

They say a police dog found the driver hiding in the backyard of a nearby home.

The man faces a long list of charges including Impaired Driving, Failure to Remain at the Scene of an Accident, Resisting Police, Flight from police, Assault with a Weapon, and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
