by New Waterford is getting 44 new federal jobs.
Sydney-Victoria MP Mark Eyking and Cape Breton-Canso MP Rodger Cuzner made the announcement this morning at the former Spiegel building.
The Health Canada positions will make up a new Compensation Support Office for the troubled Phoenix Pay System.
The workers began a 10-week training program at the Marconi Campus of the Community College on September 10th.
When they finish their training, they’ll work as two-year term employees.
Their New Waterford office is due to open on November 19th.
