Man Charged With Murder In New Glasgow Due In Court, Today

An Annapolis County man a facing second-degree murder charge is due in Pictou Court, today.

33-year-old Jason David Bezanson was arrested on Saturday after another man was found not breathing in a New Glasgow hotel room

Police say they were called to the Travelodge on Westville Road at around 2:30 on Friday morning about a disturbance in one of the rooms.

They say they found a 39-year-old Annapolis County man in the room who had signs of trauma.

He was airlifted to a Halifax hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they believe Bezanson and the man knew each other.
