Woman Dies In Fatal Crash

RCMP say a 39 year-old North Sydney woman has died after being thrown from a car near Leitches Creek this morning.

They say the woman was a passenger in the car, while the man driving it was brought to hospital to be treated for what are thought to be moderate injuries.

Police say the car was driving east when the driver lost control and went off the road at about 6:30 this morning.

The single-vehicle accident led to a lane closure on the 125 Sydney bypass, but it’s since been re-opened.

Police say the investigation into the crash continues.
