Nurses Charged After Death At Regional Hospital Due In Court

Two nurses charged after the death of a 79-year-old man on the grounds of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital are due in court today.

41 year-old Tammy Carrigan-Warner from Sydney River and 47 year-old Valerie MacGillivary from Glace Bay each face a count of forgery.

Regional Police say their investigation found documents on the status of the man who was a patient at the hospital were forged.

The man’s name has not been released.

He was found unresponsive on the sidewalk outside the hospital in the early morning hours of February 23rd.

Carrigan-Warner and MacGillivary have been fired from their jobs at the hospital.
