Cabot Links gets $2 Million

Cape Breton’s famed Cabot Links golf resort has received a $2-million federal loan.
The funds will go toward spa facilities, upscale culinary services and tennis courts at Cabot Cliffs at Broad Cove.
In all, Cabot Links has received almost $17 million in loans from both federal and provincial levels of government.
The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency says the new funding will create an additional 50 full-time positions, on top of the nearly 300 people currently working at the golf courses.
In January, Cabot Cliffs was listed as No. 9 in Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses list, and Cabot Links was ranked No. 43.
