Accused In ATV Incident Released

A Reserve Mines man has been released on recognizance as he stands accused of hitting another man with an ATV in Glace Bay.

39-year-old Stephen Troy MacDonald faces counts of Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon.

He was arrested after Regional Police say a 40 year-old man was hit by an ATV while walking through the parking lot at the Sterling Mall on Monday afternoon.

Police say the man was taken to Glace Bay Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

MacDonald is due back in court for a plea hearing on June 25th.
