Man Charged With Assault After Another Man Hit With ATV in Glace Bay

A 39-year-old Reserve Mines man is facing assault charges after Regional Police say another man was hit by an ATV in Glace Bay.

Stephen Troy MacDonald has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon.

He was arrested after police say a 40 year-old man was hit by an ATV while walking through the parking lot at the Sterling Mall at around 3:30, yesterday afternoon.

Police say the man was taken to Glace Bay Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

They say the ATV drove away but the driver was later arrested after being indentified by the man who was hit and witnesses.

Police say the men know each other.
