by Regional Police say a 69 year old man was found dead after a fire at a Whitney Pier apartment building, yesterday.
Police say they got called to 177 Mount Pleasant Street shortly after 5:00 in the evening after the man’s body was discovered inside Apartment 1.
They say there are several apartments in the building but there were no other injuries.
Police say the man’s name won’t be released until proper identification is made and all family members have been notified.
Police and the Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
