Run To Halifax Cancer Fundraiser Starts Today

A Sydney River man will be running a marathon a day, starting today.

23 year-old Will Brien is starting the run on the Cape Breton side of the Canso Causeway as a fundraiser for cancer patients who have to travel to Halifax for treatment.

His goal is to finish on next Friday at the Cancer Society’s Lodge that Gives in Halifax.

Online donations for Brien’s Kommute for a Kause campaign can be made by visiting its website.

People can follow his progress online through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
