Tentative Deal For CBU Support Staff

The union for administrative and support staff at Cape Breton University has reached a tentative agreement with the administration.

The deal with CUPE local 3131 comes after both sides met with a provincially appointed conciliator.

The union says details about the agreement will not be released until it’s presented to the members.

Local 3131 represents about 65 members.

The main outstanding issues in contract talks had been contracting out, job security and wages.
