Fitness Hearing Today For Man Accused in Front End Loader Attack On Home

A man accused of deliberately damaging a North Sydney home with a front end loader is due back in court today for a fitness hearing.

51-year-old Kevin Albert Morrison was ordered to undergo a 30-day psychiatric assessment during a court appearance, last month.

Police say the responded to reports of a front end loader in the process of damaging a home on Seaview Drive at around 5:00 on the morning of January 15th.

The driver was arrested after police followed the machine to King Street where police say it stopped after damaging barriers in front of the liquor store.

Morrison faces a number of charges in connection to the incident, including three counts of mischief over $5,000, and single counts of mischief under $5,000, taking a vehicle without consent, evading police and attempted break and enter.

He also faces three counts of uttering threats sometime between January 1st and 11th.
