Open House On Downtown Tax Incentives

The Regional Municipality is going to hold an open house on the idea of providing commercial tax incentives to promote downtown revitalization and economic development.

It says the goal of the open house is to gather public opinion on the proposal as well as to identify the downtown areas where the tax incentives will apply.

There will be two sessions of the open house at City Hall in Sydney on Monday.

The first will run from 3:00 in the afternoon until 5:00 in the evening.

The second takes place from 6:00 in the evening until 8:00 at night.

Planning Department staff will give brief presentations at 3:30 and 6:30 and also be on hand to answer questions.
