New Waterford Business Gets Half Million Dollar Loan From Ottawa

Sydney-Victoria MP Mark Eyking announced a half million dollar conditional loan this morning for Slyce Canada’s operations in New Waterford.

The company will use the money to expand its image recognition technology to more product categories.

The list includes shoes, furniture, jewelry and patterns.

The company’s app is now used by customers to snap a photo of an item and instantly find a match in a retailer’s online catalogue.

Slyce has 28 full-time workers in New Waterford.
