Women Injured in Glace Bay Car/Pedestrian Crash

Regional Police say Commercial Street in Glace Bay near York Street is closed to traffic as they investigate a pedestrian/vehicle collision.

Police say officers got the call at around 8:30, this morning.

The Cape Breton Post is reporting two women were injured when they were hit by a vehicle in a crosswalk.

Police say one of the women was taken to the Regional Hospital but details on her condition are not available.

The man driving the car was not hurt.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area until the Street reopens to traffic.
