by The Victoria Regional School Board has appointed a new board chair and vice-chair.
Steve Parsons is the newly elected chair of the School Board.
Parsons worked as a teacher in Eskasoni and was with the Eskasoni Band Council.
Parsons replaces Darren Googoo who was appointed chair in February.
Googoo was the first Mi’kmaq school board chair in the province.
The School Board says Googoo will remain on the board.
John Berk now serves as Vice-Chair.
