Glace Bay Man To Go To Trial in April

 

A Glace Bay man has pleaded not guilty to weapons and assault charges.

34-year-old Johnathan Trevor Devison is charged with assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm.

He is also charged with careless transport of a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of hydromorphone.

Devison has been released on $5000 of property.

His conditions include having no weapons or ammunition, alcohol or drugs.

Devison must also reside at a home on May Street in Glace Bay.

He was arrested on Friday afternoon after being pulled over near the intersection of Grand Lake Road and the Sydney Port Access Road.

Police say they found a 9mm rifle and a 9mm handgun in his car.

Devison is scheduled to begin trial on April 3rd.
