by The latest numbers from Stats Canada show Cape Breton’s unemployment rate went up again last month.
The jobless rate of 14.5 percent is seven tenths of a point higher than September.
It’s a full 1.4 points higher than October of last year.
Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate went up by a tenth of a point to 6:3 percent last week.
Stats Canada blames the increase on more young people looking for work.
