A 26-year-old man is facing charges after a robbery at the North Sydney Petro Canada on Sunday night.

Regional Police say they got called to the gas station at around 11:30 after a man threatened he had a weapon and demanded cash.

Police say Jason William Buckler Benn was arrested at the North Star Inn in North Sydney a short while later.

Benn faces counts of Armed Robbery and Driving While Disqualified.

Police also say the vehicle Benn was driving had been reported stolen from outside the area and is possibly connected to a robbery in the Baddeck area.

They say the RCMP has been contacted for follow-up on additional charges.
