A North Sydney woman’s house that was deemed an unsightly property was torn down, last night.
The Regional Municipality says Sylvia Dolomont’s house was not structurally sound and had been the subject of complaints about rotting garbage, debris and mould inside.
Dolomont made one last attempt to stop the demolition yesterday by inviting supporters to tour the Campbell Street home.
She says she spent 50-thousand dollars cleaning the property.
In July, a Nova Scotia Supreme Court judge denied Dolomont’s request to halt the demolition.
