The Commission asking Acadians and African Nova Scotians how they can best be represented in the Legislature makes its only stop in the Regional Municipality, today.
The independent Commission was announced by the McNeil government, earlier this month.
It comes after the province’s Court of Appeal ruled in January changes made to the province’s electoral map in 2012 violate a fundamental charter right.
The change saw three ridings with concentrations of Acadians redrawn.
The riding of Richmond in Cape Breton was among them.
Tonight’s session runs from 6:30 to 8:30 at Menelik Hall in Whitney Pier.
