Doctors Nova Scotia Meeting

Doctors Nova Scotia says it’s meeting with provincial and federal politicians today to share its concerns about proposed federal tax changes for small businesses.

The organization says 75 percent of doctors in Nova Scotia are incorporated and will be affected by the changes.

Doctors have also warned the changes may causes doctors to leave the province and make recruiting difficult.

The meeting will get underway at 11:00 at Halifax West High School.

Federal finance minister Bill Morneau was in Halifax yesterday defending Ottawa’s proposed small business tax changes.

Morneau is in Fredericton today for the annual Canadian Chamber of Commerce meeting.
