Case of Sydney Mines Woman Charged With Second Degree Murder Due In Court, Today

The case of a Sydney Mines woman charged with second degree murder in the death of her former partner is due back in court today for a status report.

35 year-old Kimberly Ann O’Dea also faces a count of criminal negligence causing death after 28 year-old Dana Marie Jessome died from injuries suffered when she was hit by a car.
The incident happened on Oxford Avenue in Sydney Mines on the morning of July 14th.
Jessome was flown to Halifax hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

O’Dea has been released on bail.
