Sentencing For Sydney Man Charged After Fatal Crash

A 30-year-old Sydney man is due in court today to be sentenced on a charge stemming from a fatal car crash last year.

Liam Alexander MacNeil has pleaded guilty to public mischief after police say he told them he wasn’t driving the vehicle involved in the crash.

Police add MacNeil intended to have them believe 40 year-old William Francis Gittens, from Dutch Brook, was the driver.

Gittens was killed in the crash on Highway 28 in South Bar last September when he was thrown from the vehicle.
