Man Due in Court Today After Weekend Disturbance In Sydney

A 35 year-old man is due in court today after Regional Police got called to a disturbance at 297 Rotary Drive in Sydney on Friday night.

Police say a 37 year old man and 34 year-old woman were taken to hospital, treated and released.

Terrance Levi Poulette was arrested at the scene.

He faces a count of Aggravated Assault and two counts of Assault with a knife along with counts of Forcible Confinement, Assault, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and 2 counts of Uttering Threats.

Police say the injured man and woman know Poulette.

He was held at the Cape Breton Correctional Facility over the weekend to await today’s court appearance.
