Woman Charged After Car Crashes Into Florence Business

Regional Police say a 24 year-old woman is facing impaired driving charges after a car crashed into a building in Florence, early yesterday morning.

Police add they got the call to 359 Main Street at 5:30 where officers found a 2008 Pontiac G6 partly lodged inside the business, causing extensive damage.

They go on to say a woman with minor injuries was found in the area and said she was the driver of the car.

They also say she was taken to Police headquarters for a breathalizer test after showing signs of impairment.

She’s been charged with Impaired Driving and Failing a Breathalyzer test and has been released from custody on a promise to appear in Sydney Provincial Court at a later date.
