Great Trail Connected Throughout Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia’s Great Trail is now 100 percent connected throughout the province.

Co-chair of the Trans Canada Foundation Valerie Pringle says while Nova Scotia’s portion of the Trans Canada Trail goes province wide they’re not finished.

Pringle goes on to say she helped raise $75M for the project to ensure the trails would connect by Canada 150.

The trail began in 1992 and now there are pathways connecting the country’s three coasts

A water trail opened at the Bras d’Or Lakes in June that goes from Whycocomagh to North Sydney.

More than 1200 km are connected as of yesterday.
