Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has named West Arichat native and sitting judge Arthur LeBlanc as the province’s next Lieutenant Governor.
Leblanc was appointed as a justice of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia in 1998.
He’s a graduate of St. F.X and earned his degree in law from Dalhousie University and practised for more than 30 years.
He’ll remain a member of the bench until he’s sworn in as lieutenant-governor.
Leblanc will replace J.J. Grant who’s served as vice regal since 2012.
